The Fishpool Inn - Patriotic Pudding Plank

We've decided to go all patriotic at The Fishpool Inn and serve a plank of traditional British puds throughout the whole month!

For £14.95 you'll enjoy this simply mouth-watering selection of desserts, including Banoffee Pie, Bakewell Tart, Bread & Butter Pudding and Sherry Trifle - along with two scoops of Strawberries n Cream ice cream.

It's ideal for sharing, plus there's two of each pud, so no arguments will ensue!

The Bear's Paw - Pie & Pint 

We think there’s nothing more British than a good old fashioned pie! 

Throughout September between Monday and Friday choose any pie (£13.50) and enjoy a pint of any of our draught ales for just £1! 

Pies on offer will be our very popular Fish Pie with Salmon, Prawns, Haddock and Leek topped with cheesy mashed potatoand served with crusty bread or our hearty Steak and Weetwood Ale Pie served with chunky chips and peas. 

Plus we’ll be adding a special guest pie each week. Look out for Pork Cider and Apple from Monday 1st, Chicken and Leek from Monday 7th, Cottage Pie from Monday 14th and finally Game and Root Vegetable from Monday 21st.

The Pheasant Inn - British Food Fortnight Specials

With us being a traditional countryside inn, we decided the best way to celebrate was to feature an extra special menu that highlights some of the very best of our British produce!  

Feeding off inspiration from the transition in seasons, and the welcoming of game season, we've pieced together a specials menu (our regular menu will also be available) which beautifully combines some delicious ingredients sourced in the locality. 

The following dishes will be available from 19th September to 4th October, you can pick and mix with our current menu! 



Roasted fig, Cumbrian ham and Nannykins goat’s curd salad

Steamed Menai mussels, soft herbs, garlic and white wine sauce


MAINS (£14.50)

Grouse, roasted squash, puffed barley, leg pastille and elderberry sauce

Venison haunch, baked apple, chestnut, blackberry and chocolate oil
